A waymarked green cycle trail from Stary Sącz railway station to the Przysłop Pass. This is an outing for experienced riders, as most of the climbing comes in the second half of the route.

The trail begins at the railway station and for a while leads through the old town, near the Poor Clares’ convent and the parish church. Then it leaves Stary Sącz and heads west, towards the Dunajec valley. This first part is gentle and lets you warm up for what is to come.

In the second half the route starts to climb into the mountains of the Beskid Sądecki. Kilometre after kilometre the road winds higher, the villages are left below, and all around it becomes wooded and quiet. According to the terrain model the pass lies above 800 m above sea level, so several hundred metres of climbing lie ahead. The reward is mountain stillness and the satisfaction of having got here under your own steam.

The trail descriptions in OpenStreetMap indicate a mountain bike. So it is best to choose a bike with wider tyres and good brakes, as the descent from the pass also calls for care. On the map the trail consists of two sections, because that is how it is recorded in OpenStreetMap.
