An interactive educational trail with a raised walkway. It leads through 15 stations where you can move, experiment and get to know the forest with all your senses.
The Orbisfera was opened in June 2026. It is the youngest attraction on Miejska Góra. It was created jointly by Stary Sącz and the Slovak town of Levoča under the Interreg Poland–Slovakia programme. A walkway raised above the ground leads through four zones: energy, sensory, environment and play.
There are 15 stations along the route. At the Power Station you generate electricity by pedalling a bicycle with a dynamo. At the Forest Echo you identify forest sounds with your eyes closed. In Insect Land you watch insects. On the Green Carpet you walk barefoot, and at Time in the Rings you count a tree’s growth rings to guess its age. There is also a balance beam and, at the end, a sandpit. Each station has a sign with a QR code that opens a description of the task.
Whoever completes all fifteen stations becomes a “Conqueror of the Orbisfera”. Along the way, a viewpoint by the forester’s lodge, a “green school” and a shelter on the site of the old ski jump were also built. Take your time – what counts here is the discovering itself, not the finish line.
