Forest Pier (Leśne Molo)

A walk among the treetops with a view of two rivers

A wooden walkway suspended among the trees of Miejska Góra ends in a hammock and a viewing platform overlooking the Poprad, the Dunajec and the Gorce.

Miejska Góra rises to 420 m above sea level, and its woods lie in the buffer zone of the Poprad Landscape Park. The Forest Pier was opened here at the end of 2021. First you follow a nature trail marked by glass spheres. Inside them you can trace the life cycle of the yellow-bellied toad, a small amphibian of the local woods. Then comes a wooden route more than 200 m long that leads among the trees.

At the end await a huge hammock, glazed sections and a viewing platform. From it you can see Stary Sącz, the Poprad and the Dunajec, Nowy Sącz and, on a clear day, the Gorce and the Low Beskids as well. Every season shows these woods differently, so it is worth coming here without hurrying.

The Forest Pier is easy to combine with the Orbisfera and a walk on Miejska Góra. Leave yourself time for photographs and a rest in the hammock.
